About This Resource
Title IX prohibits sexual harassment, including sexual violence, not only of students by other students, but also of students by employees. During a 10-year period (2005-2014), half of UE's higher education employee-on-student harassment claims involved allegations against faculty members, followed by allegations against institutions' athletic staff, residence life employees, and security personnel. This publication examines the problem and offers recommendations for preventing and responding to employee-on-student harassment, with an emphasis on suggestions relevant to faculty members in light of the study's findings.
