The Mosaic learning program trains employees on how to prevent workplace discrimination, retaliation, and harassment and how to recognize and respond to sexual misconduct involving students, including sexual assault, stalking, and intimate partner violence. The courses use higher education-specific content and scenarios that help people understand their role in maintaining a safe and unbiased work environment.

*On May 6, 2020, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) released final regulations relating to Title IX and its governance of how educational institutions conduct inquiries into allegations of sex discrimination, including student sexual misconduct. As needed, United Educators has updated our courses, including this one, to reflect the requirements of the final regulations.

This program will help learners understand how to:

  • Identify, prevent, and respond to workplace harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in higher education
  • Examine how sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking affects campus communities
  • Effectively supervise to prevent unfair treatment of subordinates
  • Identify supervisory events which can lead to allegations of unfair treatment
  • Recognize whether a supervisor’s behavior may be perceived as discriminatory although it wasn’t the intent
