The guidance summarizes legal developments over the past 20 years regarding retaliation under various discrimination laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Genetic Nondiscrimination Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. It provides an overview of the current state of the law and the EEOC's position on various aspects of workplace retaliation.
